On Saturday, March 21, 2022 we received a cheque for $750 from the New Westminster Fire Fighters Charitable Society.

Larry Coleman, VCDS Director, was pleased to have had the opportunity to go in person to Fire Hall #1 and receive a cheque from Cody Schick and Eric Picher.  Established in 1990, the New Westminster Firefighters Charitable Society was formed to help those in need, from youth groups to the most vulnerable. Along with promoting fire safety in their community these men and woman always find the time to volunteer to raise funds which is distributed back to various organizations.

Every year they host a Shred-A-Thon, Toy Drive, Christmas Tree Chip and Canucks Alumni Hockey Game. When supporting these events you support people living in New Westminster.

With support from the many Fire Houses across the lower mainland, our volunteers are able to ease the physical, emotional and financial burden for cancer patients and their families by ensuring cancer patients with limited means can attend treatments. If you are feeling inspired to help the VCDS continue to provide ACCESS TO CARE – a ride for all cancer patients, please donate on the  “Ways to Donate” page
