A milestone gift from the Freemasons Grand Lodge of British Columbia and Yukon
On September 5, the Volunteer Cancer Drivers Society (VCDS) received a generous $35,000 donation from the Freemasons Grand Lodge of British Columbia and Yukon. Grand Master Mark Forster and Grand Secretary George Moore presented the cheque to VCDS President Bob Smith and Marlyn Graziano, VCDS Vice President Development and Communications.
This brings the Freemasons’ total support of VCDS to $485,000 since May 2021, highlighting their deep commitment to helping cancer patients access transportation to treatment, and making the Freemasons our largest single donor to date.
“We are immensely grateful for the Freemasons’ unwavering support, which has been instrumental in helping cancer patients across B.C.,” said VCDS President Bob Smith. “Their contributions over the last three years have strengthened our capacity to continue providing vital transportation services to those in need.
“Together, we have made a significant difference in the lives of many.”
